ASAP is a unique outreach and mentorship initiative built on strategic partnerships with churches, ministries, businesses, and organizations, all working together to inspire and empower America’s students.
We’ve impacted over 30% of schools in Ohio, delivering life-changing messages to thousands of students. By partnering with schools, local businesses, and community leaders, ASAP fosters mentorship opportunities and promotes positive development for youth across the nation.
Gathering community leaders to deliver life-changing, positive messages to America’s students.
ASAP was founded over 15 years ago by Jim Surace, philanthropist and CEO of Surace-Smith Insurance Group, and Tom Hare, Executive Director of HarvestNet. Initially serving Northeast Ohio as ASAP Ohio, the initiative focused on hosting impactful school assemblies and mentorship programs to help students build healthy mindsets and overcome challenges.
With over 100 schools served, including institutions such as Cleveland Heights High School, Mentor High School, and Lutheran East High School, ASAP Ohio became a trusted resource for students and educators alike. Inspired by its success, ASAP has grown into ASAP America—a nationwide initiative committed to expanding its reach and impact on youth across the country.
Our primary goal is to be recognized by schools as the “assembly of choice,” known for our engaging, relevant content and professional program delivery.
We aim to offer schools impactful daytime assemblies featuring two essential components: dynamic entertainment and a motivational speaker who delivers a powerful life message.
Each assembly is complemented by an evening “Comeback” program, hosted at the school or a nearby venue, offering students additional encouragement and actionable guidance. These follow-up events provide an opportunity to embrace universal truths and inspire lasting change.
